We spent the day playing pretend & popping bubbles.

Day 547. March 14. Austin.

This is Kate's adorable cousin Austin.
He joined us at Matt Q's baseball game today
& he spent the entire time completely fascinated by Matt.
When he wasn't watching Matt warm up,
he was practicing his own pitching, batting and catching.

Kate & Brianna are home for spring break
so we caught up in too hot of a jacuzzi in too cold of weather.
ha this picture cracks me up.

Day 544. March 11. Alice in Wonderland 3D

Carly & I celebrated the end
of my long 2 weeks of testing with a late night showing
of Alice in Wonderland!
We really liked it!

Day 543. March 10. Zephyrs.

Tomorrow is yet another big test day for me,
so Matt & I spent the afternoon at our favorite local coffee shop, Zephyrs.

and a very overdue one at that.

Did you know it was going to rain today?

I didn't, but it was a great surprise to listen to while I spent my Saturday preparing for my long week of tests.

and our apartment looks / smells SO lovely!

Day 535. March 2. Goals.

I've been working on the idea of selling some of my photographs for a couple years.
I've never been sure what the medium to which I'd sell these pictures would be though.

I was on Etsy.com recently & saw that photographers (both, amateur and professional) have been selling their stuff there.

So, a few weeks ago, I began compiling some of my photos & today I've decided to go for it.

Day 534. March 1. Recycling.

Matt's mom owns a picture framing shop.
(New Creation Picture Framing -- Google it if you need AMAZING frame work done!)

These three frames were nasty gold leftovers whose fate was in the trash can,
until Matt joined them and painted them black for me.

Now they reside in our hallway
(with the hope of adding more recycled frames to the bunch).

All I need to do now is put some amazing Roomie photos in them.

Day 533. February 28. Test Week.

This was my day today.

Day 532. February 27. We Are Industry Photobooth.

We Are Industry is the awesome place where Matt & I get our hair cut.

Jaymie, the shop owner / our stylist had an art showing last night, so Matt & I joined the party with our photobooth.
We pretty much had an excellent time & we're pretty excited for the next party in May.


Matt & my day was heavily consumed with Starbucks coffee and photo editing, which is why this is my blog for today, rather than yesterday (in case you were wondering).

Day 531. February 26. Short but Sweet.

It was a quick visit!
We drove to Old Town, said our goodbyes & Anja left with her cousin to spend the weekend in San Diego with her family.

Tonight, Matt & I shot another photobooth.

Day 530. February 25. Anja Welcoming / Carly's Feast / Manal's Birthday

One of my closest friends, Anja flew into LA to visit for the night.
We were sad to realize that it's been a full year since we've seen each other!

We spent the night enjoying Carly's delicious feast and celebrating Manal's 21st birthday.
We only needed Kate to make it perfect!!

Day 529. February 24. My job.

I'm a pretty big fan of my job.
When I'm not helping my students figure out exposures in the darkroom, I'm helping them set up studio shots for portrait assignments (as shown in the below photos).

It's a pretty nice outlet from my constant studying of Hearing Science & Phonetics all the other days of the week...

Day 528. February 23. Uncommon.

This isn't the usual vehicle that I'm used to seeing parked neatly in this parking lot.
