Matt, Kate & I adventured in the Sierra Madre canyon today.
I wish I had taken photos as Matt drove us up these small windy roads with our "surprise destination" at the top of the road.
Kate & I have never heard/been to the "hidden" little town high up in the Sierra Madre mountains, so we had no idea what to expect as Matt drove us up the canyon further away from anything familiar.
It took us 7 minutes to get to, but it felt like we were on vacation (no, seriously) while we ventured higher up the mountain, eventually landing at our destination and sipping sodas at Mary's Market with peaceful trees & the sound of a stream outside the door.
I don't know why I've never heard of this place (or why it's taken Matt 3 years to show it to me), but it is definitely a serene little place to go back to.

I want to see this place..... Never even heard about it in all the years of living in Pasadena. Fun pics and what a beautiful day. You would never know you were in LA!!!

Katelyn seems rather weird
Katelyn seems rather weird
What is with Katelyn's poses
How does Matt put up with those two crazies
Awwwwwwww cut pic! Matt, you're all grow'd up! C'mon, y'all were in Tennessee and you didn't even call? That place looks like Barbara's Diner.
And why does KATE!!! seem so weird? (sorry Kate, couldn't resist not being a follower...)
And what did you do with the "old" bowling alley?
